University legislative appropriations requests
The legislative appropriations request from Texas State University that is prepared for the purpose of requesting legislative funds for the next biennium. Budget requests are broken down by institutional objectives and include several years of expenses along with projected budgets.
University Museum collection
Collection documents the history of the defunct University Museum of Art and History. Materials include correspondence, accession records books, newspaper clippings, photographs, artifacts, and financial records. The University Museum of Art and History opened in 1937 and closed in 1965 after the State Legislature cut off funding for the maintenance and upkeep.

University policy and procedure statement records
Official records of the creation and maintenance of university policy files. Materials consist of updated or cancelled University policy and procedure statements (UPPS). The first polices were labeled as SWTOL (Southwest Texas operating letters) and were replaced by UPPS.
Arranged numerically by UPPS number. Reference materials with no policy number are in the beginning of the first box (moving expense policy, timeine for review and update, UPPS XX.XX.XX state publication).
University reports to the Curriculum Committee, Board of Regents, Texas State University System
Reports prepared by Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) which list and summarize statistics on student enrollment by department, broken down by professor, courses taught, credit hours, and number of students enrolled. These reports are also known as "The 12th Class Day Report" or the "The 4th Class Day Report." Statistics for summer sessions are taken on the 4th day of classes, with fall and spring statistics taken on the 12th day of classes.

Sterling VanWagenen Papers
Five folders of works, financial papers, photographs, promotional kits, and clippings, 1984-1986 contain materials from the 1985 film "The Trip to Bountiful."
Stevie Ray Vaughan Accessions
Stevie Ray Vaugan's personal items including handwritten song lyrics, chord progressions, personal journal entries, show and recording critiques, tour itineraries clothing, artifacts, ephemera and concerts recorded on VHS.
Stevie Ray Vaughan Research Collection
Correspondence, printed material, financial documentation, interviews, photographic material, legal documentation, notes, creative works, audio and video recordings, and machine-readable records, created and maintained by Bill Crawford and Joe Nick Patoski, document the research, production, and promotion processes of their co-authored biography, Stevie-Ray Vaughan: Caught in the Crossfire.
Vernon McDonald memorabilia and manuscript collection
Collection of materials relating to Vernon McDonald's time and tenure at Southwest Texas University (now Texas State University). An alumni, McDonald returned to work as a coach and became the head basketball coach from 1961-1977.

This collection consists of notes, outlines, drafts, typescripts, correspondence, subject files, photographs, newsclippings, artifacts, a scrapbook, legal, medical, and financial records.
Celeste Bedford Walker Accessions
Two accessions of Celeste Bedford Walker's playscripts and screenplays including "Distant Voices", "Greenwood: An American Dream Destroyed", "Sassy Mamas", "Bartersville" and "Camp Logan". Also included are promotional items, photographs, correspondence, newspaper articles and reviews.
Jerry Jeff Walker Collection
This small collection is comprised of the handwritten lyrics and chord notations to the country western song “Charlie Dunn”, written in the 1970s by Jerry Jeff Walker for the Texas boot maker by that name. Also included is the first pair of custom lizard skin boots made for Walker by Dunn.
