News Service collection on Jerome H. Supple
The collection was primarily created and compiled by the University News and Information Service and the Office of Media Relations and Publications. Materials include planning materials for the presidential selection and Supple’s installation, media coverage of events, Supple’s cancer diagnosis and research, and items related to his legacy including photographs.
News Service collection on Lee H. Smith
The collection was compiled by the University News and Information Service and the Office of Media Relations and Publications. It contains copies of biographical notes, speeches, press releases, clippings, photographs, negatives, as well as reel to reel tape recordings of administration reports and presumably interviews for KCNY radio.
News Service collection on the San Marcos 10
A group of ten students, who became known as the San Marcos 10, were suspended from Southwest Texas State University in 1969 after refusing to leave a student-led protest of the Vietnam War. Collection consists of compiled materials largely from the News Service/Media Relations and contains photographs from 1969 as well as information related to subsequent on-campus reunions.

Aubra Nooncaster Collection
The Aubra Nooncaster Papers span 1938-1992, and document the writings of coach, poet, and mentor to Larry L. King, Aubra Nooncaster. The collection is arranged into four series: Correspondence, Writings about Coach Nooncaster, Nooncaster’s Writings, and Larry L. King. The bulk of the collection is correspondence from Larry L. King to Nooncaster. The collection also includes published poems and unpublished drafts of poems written by Nooncaster
Norman C. Peterson papers
Norman C. Peterson an alumnus and faculty member at Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) as well as an author. The bulk of the collection is made up of Peterson's own works, primarily short stories and poems, which he created and revised throughout his adult life. Also includes journal entries, research, and newspaper clippings.

Collection of periodicals consists of reports published by the Office of Institutional Research and later Enrollment Management. Office of the Vice President of Finance and Management records
Twelve binders worth of materials created and collected during Eugene “Gene” Payne’s time as Vice President of Finance and Management. Materials largely consists of special studies done by the office analyzing and comparing budgets, funds, and expenditures on various subjects, as well as reports on accomplishments of the Finance and Management division.
Oscar Strahan photographs and papers
Oscar Strahan served as the first professional coach and first Athletic Director for Southwest Texas State (now Texas State University) from 1919 to 1961. Largely photographs, the collection contains noteworthy images of early Southwest Texas State Normal College sports teams, World War I training camp Camp Logan, and mass produced battlefield views from France. Also includes Strahan’s family history materials.
Panther Hall Collection
Panther Hall was a concert hall located in Fort Worth, Texas and open from 1963-1978. The collection contains mostly photographs documenting the various artists that performed at the concert hall. Some of these musical artists include Waylon Jennings, Tanya Tucker, Tammy Wynette, Willie Nelson, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Tony Douglas, Loretta Lynn, and Conway Twitty. In addition to the photographs, the collection also contains promotional materials, papers, and published materials.
Joe Nick Patoski Papers
Typescripts, correspondence, clippings, photographs, sound recordings, printed material, handwritten notes, ephemera, and artifacts, 1929 to 1998 (bulk 1975-1995), created and maintained by Joe Nick Patoski, document much of his writing career, as well as some aspects of his business and personal life.
Patricia Louise Parker Thompson manuscript
Collection consists of one working manuscript version of a 1997 dissertation written by Patricia Louise Parker Thompson in pursuit of a doctoral degree at the University of Texas at Austin. That dissertation topic involves the speech writers that served Lyndon Johnson during his presidency in the United States, including Southwest Texas State University president Robert L. Hardesty.
Pedagog staff and Press Club photographic negative collection
Black and white photographic negatives used in the student yearbook, the Pedagog, and other university publications in the 1960s at Southwest Texas State College (now Texas State University). Subjects of the images include scenes of campus, faculty and staff portraits, sporting events, and student events including beauty pageants.
