African-American Presence at Southwest Texas State University: Celebrating 40 Years Records
Commencement records
This collection consists primarily of commencement programs. With a small amount of additional materials and recordings. Texas State University was established by the 26th Legislature in 1899 as the Southwest Texas State Normal School; 313 pupils were enrolled in 1903-04, the first year classes were held.
Common Experience Collection
Each year since 2004, the Common Experience events bring students together to read and engage with a powerful text, and explore related themes in University Seminar classes. Collection consists of background and planning materials, press releases, posters, calendars of events, as well as each year's book.
Latino Presence at Texas State University-San Marcos: Celebrating 100 Years Records
Latino Presence at Texas State University-San Marcos: Celebrating 100 Years was a series of projects and events in 2006 led by the College of Liberal Arts and its Center for Multicultural and Gender Studies. Collection contains planning and research materials, as well as printed ephemera related to the events.
LBJ 100 Celebration Records
Collection consists of planning materials for the events and the oral history project commemorating Lyndon Baines Johnson's 100th birthday (often referred to as LBJ 100). Most of the materials were created by members of the LBJ Centennial Celebration Steering Committee and overlapped with the Common Experience at Texas State University.
Lyndon Baines Johnson distinguished lecture series collection
The Lyndon Baines Johnson Distinguished Lecture Series honors the Texas State University's most distinguished alumnus by fulfilling his promise to bring important leaders to the university to share their philosophies and experiences. Records of individual lectures may include transcripts, videorecordings, press releases, invitations, programs, and photographs.

Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) celebrated its Centennial during the 1998-1999 academic year. This collection documents the Centennial Committee efforts to plan, execute and advertise events as well as the Centennial Campaign fundraising efforts.
