Dian Malouf Accessions
Drafts, photographs, interviews for the Dian Malouf archive. This collection includes drafts in various stages and photographs related to Malouf’s two books, “Seldom Heard” and “Cattle Kings.” This collection also contains numerous audiocassettes of interviews and corresponding transcripts used to develop the two books. It appears part of this collection was once accessioned, and later deaccessioned, at Southern Methodist University.

The Perspectives on Cormac McCarthy Collection includes drafts and proofs of essays by several authors on novelist Cormac McCarthy. The essays were edited by Edwin “Chip” Arnold and Dianne Luce, and appeared in Perspectives on Cormac McCarthy, the book version of the Southern Quarterly, published by the University Press of Mississippi, September 1993.

McGehee Family Aquarena Springs collection
The collection consists of materials related to the Mill Tract and Aquarena Springs property, including a bound abstract of title to A.B. Rogers (founder of the Spring Lake/Aquarena Hotel), research and documentation used to apply for a Texas Historical Marker. Also included are clippings and fliers about the Aquarena hotel.
James McMurtry Papers
The archives of Texas singer-songwriter James McMurtry include a career-spanning (from 1984 up to and including his 2021 album, The Horses and the Hounds) collection of personal papers and original song lyrics, press clippings, photographs, master audio recordings, and video cassettes. The collection is divided into nine series, with Series I-VIII comprising all of the papers,notepads and photographs (and some small personal items) and Series IX all of the audio and video recordings.

The bulk of this collection is comprised of the original typescript for McMurtry's essay, "Walter Benjamin at the Dairy Queen,” which includes handwritten corrections by the author.

The Sipper Collection is comprised of over 100 letters from Larry McMurtry to Ralph Sipper ranging from 1982-2018. Arranged chronologically, they document McMurtry’s practice of and thoughts on book selling and buying. Frequent topics include the sale of screenplays, his work in the film business, and mutual acquaintances in the literary world.
