Scope and Contents
Dr. Moloney discusses his experiences as University Librarian and Director of the Learning Resources Center. He talks about the faculty and staff during Dr. Flowers and Dr. McCrocklin's presidential administrations, as well as the technological advances the University Library has undergone throughout his career. Moloney discusses building construction as well, specifically mentioning what is now the J.C. Kellam Building.

Biographical note
Dr. Louis C. Moloney (1920–2006) was born in Trenton, New Jersey. He earned his BS in Education (1942) and BLS (1948) from Trenton State College. He then earned his MS in English from Texas A&I University (1959) and his doctorate of library science from Columbia University (1970).
Moloney joined Southwest Texas State College in 1964 as an associate librarian. In 1965, he moved to the position of acting librarian where he served for a short time before becoming head librarian. He later became Director of the Learning Resources Center. Moloney belonged to a number of professional and educational organizations, holding leadership positions in the Texas Library Association and Council of State University Librarians. He retired from Texas State in 1986.
