Biographical note
Dr. Bill Brunson (1924–1988) was born in Chico, Texas, and received his BA (1950), MA (1951), and PhD (1960) degrees from Texas Technical College (now Texas Tech University). Brunson taught at Del Mar College before joining Southwest Texas State College's history department in 1965. Along with teaching, Brunson published a number of writings, including his book, The Texas Land and Development Company.
