Series VIII, “Non-Music Notes and Assorted,” contains a shooting schedule and call sheets for Lonesome Dove, a calendar from Archer City, TX illustrated by cartoonist Ace Reid, and an anti-George W. Bush political button.

Majority of the collection includes promotional articles, including an article from John Morthland; and awards. Included in the collection are photographs of Benson with President George W. Bush, Laura Bush, and others; Benson’s boots and concert jacket; and correspondence with Dolly Parton and others. The folder titles preceding a semicolon reflect Benson’s original descriptions.
