Ralph Sipper Collection of Larry McMurtry

The Sipper Collection is comprised of over 100 letters from Larry McMurtry to Ralph Sipper ranging from 1982-2018. Arranged chronologically, they document McMurtry’s practice of and thoughts on book selling and buying. The San Marcos 10, a group of students who were suspended from Texas State University in 1969 after refusing to leave an unauthorized protest of the Vietnam War. The San Marcos 10 took their case all the way to the Supreme Court, only to have the justices rule against them. Material consist of compiled materials largely from the Office of Media Relations and Publications.
