This collection consists of black and white and color photographs, 35mm color slides, contact sheets, 35mm color negatives and color photographs stored on disc. These photographs document the punk rock, new wave and rock and roll artists performing in the San Antonio/Austin Texas area and are featured in the San Antonio indie music newspaper It’s Only Rock and Roll. Kimsey was a contributing photographer and writer for It’s Only Rock and Roll which was self-published by Ron Young from March 1978 to April 1982. The photographs depict live images of performances and headshots of artists. The proposed arrangement includes one series of photographs, which are arranged alphabetically by the depicted artist. Included are 281 photographs in the collection, many of which were published in It’s Only Rock and Roll.
