There is no transcript, however, the notes indicate that the interview discussed the following: his family, the importance of the San Marcos River on the community's economy, Mexican labor, the Depression in the 1930s, the effects of drought, and agriculture. The notes also point out that Mr. Cape also discussed the violent nature of the city of San Marcos, Texas. He mentions two murders, a shoot-out on the square, and the occasional hanging.
