Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection consists of reports sent to the Board of Regents of the Texas State University System. Reports list and summarize statistics on student enrollment by department, broken down by professor, courses taught, credit hours, and number of students enrolled. Includes number of semester hours taught and number of full-time teachers. Additional reports may include topics such as small class and diversification. The 1957 report was addressed to the Board of Regents and The Commission on Higher Learning, and appears to be the precursor to the Report to the Curriculum Committee. Copies for 1957-1958 to 1969-1979, are bound Registrar copies, which include letters to and from the Curriculum Committee of the Board of Regents State Teachers Colleges. The letters are regarding 12th day enrollment for all departments and specific courses. These reports are also known as "The 12th Class Day Report" or the "The 4th Class Day Report." Statistics for summer sessions are taken on the 4th day of classes, with fall and spring statistics taken on the 12th day of classes. Includes two compilation reports consisting of multiple years. Materials arranged chronologically. Missing reports for Spring 1973, and Summer 1976.
