Materials consists of Blanco Star School memorabilia gathered from alumni and records generated by reunions of former students. Blanco Star School materials include a diploma, photographs, and the school handbell. The bulk of the collection is related to annual reunions for students and faculty held from 1982 through 2016. Items include plaques, photographs, negatives, news clippings, rosters of former students and teachers, and reunion correspondence.

This accession is arranged into two series. Series I: Blanco Star School, circa 1922, 1937; Series II: Blanco Star School Reunion, 1983-2016.

Physical Description

3.5” x 3.5” brass plaque that reads, “This Original Bell Rang Throughout the Years at Blanco Star School. It’s Resounding Melody Set the Tone for a Foundation of higher Learning. 1922-1945 San Marcos Hays County.” Plaque was originally part of a trophy base, which is a four inch square acrylic cube.
