Dr. Brunson's interview has information that relates to her experiences in the English Department, her husband's experiences in the History Department, the administration at Texas State University, the President McCrocklin incident, renovations at the university (Taylor/Murphy Hall and Flowers Hall), female faculty in the history department and the changes that occurred at Texas State University. The interview covers the years 1967 thru 1991.

Biographical note
Dr. Brunson began her career at Texas State University in 1967. She served as chair of the English Department between 1972 and 1983. In 1984, she became the associate dean of the School of Liberal Arts. Although Dr. Brunson was a part of the English Department, she had close ties to the history department as her late husband Billy R. Brunson [1924-1988] was a professor in the Department of History.
