This series is comprised of material relating to Flynn’s play Journey to Jefferson. Documents include a typescript draft of the play and various play programs.
Plays, 1984
This series includes notes, drafts, and correspondence for a play titled Boot (early working title, “Blown Away: A Play in Two Acts.”) The play takes place in a bunker in Vietnam and focuses on three marines: Crockett, Dupree, and Mills, joined by a new recruit they nickname “Boot.” The plot follows the young men as they try to cope with the realities of war.

Note that the while the scrapbook largely contains Chili-related clippings, awards, posters, advertisements, and a draft by Fowler, it also contains articles by Fowler on World War II, the Vietnam War, crime, and boating.
