This series documents the wide variety of topics Patoski has written about, and helps illustrate his writing process from initial handwritten notes to published articles. Contained in this series are clippings of Patoski's work, as well as unpublished band and club reviews, creative works, and a large quantity of handwritten notes. A course packet for a feature writing class taught by Patoski is also included in this series.

This series is a collection of miscellaneous clippings and notes. They are divided into different categories. They are writing related, travel related, health and medical related, or arts related.

These files are comprised of editorial correspondence regarding Bass’ writing and its publication, correspondence and ephemera related to author readings and booksignings, course description and coursework related to fiction and non-fiction college writing courses taught by Bass, audiocassette tapes and a full transcript of an interview with Scott Slovic regarding Bass' writing career.

Writings by Hudson, 1950-1973
Includes poems, published works, collaborated works, offprints, signed offprints, drafts etc. They are arranged alphabetically by book title from rough draft to final product. Two copies of each offprint are to be kept unless a signed copy is present. Does not include those writings associated with the Texas Folklore Society, obituaries, or printed newspapers and magazines for preservation reasons.
Writings by Michael Rodriguez, undated
There are two documents contained in the series. The first being a typescript for “Just Another Jungle: Short Stories of the Vietnam War.” This typescript later becomes published as Rodriguez’s first book, Humidity Moon. Also included is the short story “Prisoner” written by Rodriguez. The short story also included comments by Tim O’Brien.

There is only one item included in this series. The document is a newspaper clipping on psychologist Marvin Abney who helps Vietnam veterans deal with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

This series contains a number of television and motion picture scripts by other writers. Many were sent as writing samples to Broyles in his role of producer for China Beach and Under Cover. Some of the television projects represented are 21 Jump Street, Cagney and Lacey, Law and Order, Miami Vice, and Thirty-Something.

Includes publications and other specially preserved media from Hudson’s time on a variety of subjects including the Texas Folklore Society and offprints sent to Hudson by other writers.
