Abstract From the Series:

This collection consists of additional material of Judy Alter’s literary papers. The majority of the material within the collection is a series of books written by Judy Alter. Also included in the collection is many magazines, the majority being from or dealing with Fort Worth, Texas. Many newspapers are included in the collection, each containing an article about or written by Judy Alter. The folder titles preceding a semicolon reflect Alter’s original description.

This is the largest series, with the numerous Dancing Bear files documenting Crumley's changing ideas for titles and other aspects related to the novel.
