Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Willie Nelson Recording Collection spans 1954-2010, chronicling the career of renowned Texas singer, songwriter, and bandleader. The collection contains 877 recordings, including LPs, 45 rpms, audio cassettes, compact discs, VHS cassettes, and DVDs. Included in the collection are recordings under Nelson’s leadership as well as recordings on which he is a guest musician, producer, or songwriter. Newspaper articles, SXSW and ACL programs, and drafts for the John T. Davis archive. This collection includes a wide expanse of Davis’s articles from 1980-2010, including articles from Davis’s music review column in the Austin-American Statesman. This collection also contains official SXSW and ACL music and program guides, as well as drafts of Davis’s comprehensive ACL book, Austin City Limits: 25 Years of Music.

Additions to the Tamara Saviano Collection, primarily following the lives and careers of Guy Clark and Kris Kristofferson. Majority of the materials are interview transcripts with Guy Clark, Susanna Clark and friends; contains Kris Kristofferson’s music publicity materials; CDs, DVDs, and U-Matics of performances and interviews, 1937-2015. Also within the collection are Stephen Foster’s sheet music; correspondence; and publications.

Scope and Contents From the Series: Archival material donated by Tamara Saviano related to Guy Clarke and Kris Kristofferson from 1971-2023.
