Also included are a book titled Record and Bill of Items (1937-1944) and a Bureau of Vital Statistics Standard Certificate of Death (July – October 1924). Arranged chronologically by type of record.

Born in 1904, in Live Oak County, the Dobie family came from Virginia to live in South Texas. Mr. Dobie was a book collector, and in 1941 began teaching at Southwest Texas State Teachers College.
