The C. E. Evans Papers were a gift to Southwest Texas State University Archives in 1987 from his daughter, Bernice (Mrs. Erwin L.) Soyars, Jr., and others. Dr. Evans’ 31 year career as president of the College parallels the early growth and development of the institution, (1911-1942).
