Newspaper articles, SXSW and ACL programs, and drafts for the John T. Davis archive. This collection includes a wide expanse of Davis’s articles from 1980-2010, including articles from Davis’s music review column in the Austin-American Statesman. This collection also contains official SXSW and ACL music and program guides, as well as drafts of Davis’s comprehensive ACL book, Austin City Limits: 25 Years of Music.

Series Description From the Series: These audio cassettes primarily feature Willie Nelson, though there are several of other recording artists. The cassettes are in varying condition, some have been recorded over multiple times and the labels are not always descriptive of what is on the tape. Scope and Contents From the Collection:

Archives material received from the surviving family of musician, Rich Minus. This collection are the remaining items of Rich Minus’s life possessions from childhood mementos, to posters, and handwritten song lyrics. Majority of the items in the collection were photocopied from the original documents due to issues of mold. Also, included in the collection are his well-known black cowboy hat, guitar and guitar strap are part of this collection, 1940-2018.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Willie Nelson Recording Collection spans 1954-2010, chronicling the career of renowned Texas singer, songwriter, and bandleader. The collection contains 877 recordings, including LPs, 45 rpms, audio cassettes, compact discs, VHS cassettes, and DVDs.
