Photographs, costumes, posters, awards, clippings dating from 1930s-1990s and featuring members of the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame comprise the bulk of this collection. Items of note include Bob Wills’ hat and a fiddle he reportedly played, and Laura Lee McBride’s fringed leather costume.

The bulk of Kindrick’s personal papers include clippings of his “Offbeat” column that appeared in the San Antonio Express News, 1968-1974. The column is a precursor to the workhe would later do at Action Magazine, and the subjects are similar: music, culture, off-beat stories of sports, politics, and society.

Archives material received from the surviving family of musician, Rich Minus. This collection are the remaining items of Rich Minus’s life possessions from childhood mementos, to posters, and handwritten song lyrics. Majority of the items in the collection were photocopied from the original documents due to issues of mold. Also, included in the collection are his well-known black cowboy hat, guitar and guitar strap are part of this collection, 1940-2018.

This collection includes a wide expanse of Davis’s articles from 1980-2010, including articles from Davis’s music review column in the Austin-American Statesman. This collection also contains official SXSW and ACL music and program guides, as well as drafts of Davis’s comprehensive ACL book, Austin City Limits: 25 Years of Music.
