The audio cassettes are mostly non-professional recordings of music, and a few are of interviews with musicians. A relatively large portion of the audio cassettes are of the band Joe "King" Carrasco, which Patoski managed during the 1980s.

Series II, “Lyrics for Singles, Unrecorded Songs, and Unidentified Songs,” contains 94 folders of lyrics for released as singles or that have yet to be recorded or released. Songs are separated into their own folders, and labeled either by song title (if known) or by a key phrase or line that either “opens” the song or appear to be thematically significant.

This collection includes a wide expanse of Davis’s articles from 1980-2010, including articles from Davis’s music review column in the Austin-American Statesman. This collection also contains official SXSW and ACL music and program guides, as well as drafts of Davis’s comprehensive ACL book, Austin City Limits: 25 Years of Music.
