This series contains materials on the promotion of Preston Jones' theatrical career especially in regard to the Trilogy. It includes photographs, clippings, reviews, articles, interviews and videotapes, providing information on aspects of the author's life, career, and writing methods.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The papers of filmmaker and writer Severo Perez span 1972-2010 and document his career in film and television, and as a writer. Many of the files reflect Mary Sue's filing system but the material has been consolidated and reorganized by play in chronological order. The group Unproduced Writings contains manuscripts of Preston Jones’ unproduced plays. Included is his thesis adaptation of The Night of the Hunter. It continues with boyhood photographs, yearbooks, memorabilia and drawings from his elementary school, high school, and college in New Mexico. Arranged in alphabetical order by the name of the series or show, these scripts date from Kirkland days at UT Austin's Radio House, circa 1940-1947. Typescripts and working drafts are included, as well as some photographs of the Radio House staff, including J. Frank Dobie. Of particular interest is the series entitled "Guardians of Freedom", which includes documents related to the Peck Woodside story Kirkland covered in Mexico.

Additions to the Celeste Bedford Walker archival collection from 1925-2012. The majority of the materials included in the collection are promotional flyers, photographs, correspondence, and newspaper articles relating to Walker’s play, Camp Logan and other plays such as Once in a Wife Time. Also included in the collection are two The New York Times papers from 1925-1926.
