The Southwest Texas State University Rodeo Association was a nonprofit student organization active from the mid-1950s to the late 1990s. This collection includes ephemera and promotional materials, as well as administrative records. Noteworthy are architectural drawings and records related to the project to build a rodeo arena structure at the Freeman Ranch.

Roy J. Beard art collection
This early 20th century art collection was given to the University by distinguished alumnus and Houston businessman Roy J. Beard, along with several other individuals. The collection consists of 38 artworks: sixteen oil paintings on canvas, one oil painting on masonite, twenty sepia-toned engravings, and one pressed repousse copper plaque.

The Clarence Schultz Texas humor collection is made up of Schultz’s research materials and drafts for his unpublished manuscript, “Texas Laughter: A Chronicle of Sixteen Humorists, 1836-2000.” Also included in the collection are 504 books collected by Schultz on humor in Texas and the Southwest.
Selena Research Collection
This collection was created and maintained by Joe Nick Patoski in the process of writing the biography of Tejano singer, Selena Quintanilla Perez. The collection is compiled of news clippings, manuscripts, interviews, photographs, court documents, notes, publicity materials, computer disks and ephemera.

Multiple accessions from Cormac McCarthy scholar, John Emil Sepich, documenting McCarthy's work, notably Blood Meridian. Includes correspondence and writings from other other McCarthy scholars and translators.
John Emil Sepich Papers
This collection is comprised of two works of commentary by John Emil Sepich that focus on the novel, Blood Meridian, by Cormac McCarthy. Sepich published Notes on Blood Meridian in October 1993. Also included are two 1990 letters from Sepich to Bill Wittliff.
