Abstract

This collection includes archival materials donated from the Center for Texas Music History. The collection contains transcripts, audio cassette tapes and CDs of interviews conducted for the Oral History Program and Texas Oral History Project ranging from 1972-2015. Boxes 3013, 3014.

Scope and Contents David Brown interviews Cindy Cashdollar. Cindy talks about how it was being a woman musician in a male-dominated world. She describes her exposure to live music growing up and picking up the steel guitar. She gives her advice to young women that are pursuing music. She mentions being the first woman to be inducted into the Texas Steel Guitar Hall of Fame the previous year of this interview.
