“The Pit”; copies of The Pit, newspaper articles, signed contracts and deal memo, 1987-2001

This collection consists of archival material relating to the novels and stories written by Joe R. Lansdale. The majority of this collection consists of the manuscripts, agreements and newspaper articles regarding reviews and Joe R. Lansdale interviews. This collection also includes copies of stories from books, photos, buttons, magazines, books, book covers and drafts. Also included in this collection are comics, the drafts of their panels and scripts, scripts for plays made of Lansdale’s novels and letters in correspondence to his work and publishing. Lastly, included in this collection is a series of t-shirts directed toward Lansdale’s books and name tags used by Lansdale in different panels and events. The folder titles preceding a colon reflect Lansdale’s original descriptions.
