Materials in this collection pertaining to Catacalos’s personal life include Catacalos’s birth certificate, school records, early childhood artwork, genealogical records pertaining to the Catacalos, Peñaloza and Ferreyro families, family correspondence, audio interviews with family members, photographs, personal journals, newspaper clippings and ephemera.
Materials pertaining to Catacalos’s literary career include press clippings, early newspaper columns and published works, photographs, correspondence and business records pertaining to her various posts (including SAISD Poetry in Schools, Guadalupe Cultural Arts Literature Program and Gemini Ink), teaching, poetry submissions and permissions, teaching notes, business accounting ledgers, notebooks and journals, handmade chapbooks and art books, VHS tapes, conference and event programs, artwork, ephemera and artifacts including Catacalos’s Rolodex and a lock of her hair. Backlog includes 113 books, magazines, journals and periodicals.
