From the Collection:
The Doug Hanners Collection spans 1947-2011, and the bulk of the collection documents the Blues, Rock and Roll, and Country music and artists of the 1950s-1970s, with a strong focus on the music coming out of the East and coastal regions of Texas. The collection is arranged into fourteen series: Photographs; Artist Files; Record Companies and Services; Gold Star Recording Company; E. J. Shelby Record Shop; Radio Stations; Publications; Discographies; Huey Meaux; Oversized; Artifacts; Rock/Grunge Flyers; Recordings; and Posters.
