Scope and Contents
The bulk of the series is invoices for studio session time, mixing, dubbing, and other services provided by Gold Star Recording Company. Names of notable recording artists mentioned in the invoices are listed in the folder descriptions. The invoices are arranged alphabetically by client. Numerous record labels and production companies made use of the studio including Charlie Booth Productions, Crazy Cajun Enterprises, Cue Records, Epstein Enterprises, Duke-Peacock Records, Gold Band Records, Merrbach Record Service (Blue Star Records), Picture Records, Scepter- Wand Records; Sunglow Records; Tapier Music Company; and WHIZ Records. Other clients included many churches and schools in the Houston area. There are two bound invoice ledgers housed after the loose invoices.
