Scope and Contents

From the Series:

Archival material from Austin, Texas author, producer and record label owner Brian T. Atkinson dating 1956-2019. Materials include concert posters, show flyers, photographs, magazines, newspapers, news clippings, correspondence, press releases (albums) song lyric sheets, vinyl LPS, 45rpms, ephemera and artifacts relating to various notable Texas musicians, concert series and music festivals. Included are music magazine and newspaper (reviews) articles written by Atkinson and interviews on cassette tapes which Atkinson used in writing The Messenger: The Songwriting Legacy of Ray Wylie. Much of the collection contains materials from Kent Finlay and Jenni Finlay pertaining to the iconic Cheatham Street Warehouse, San Marcos Texas which was used in writing Kent Finlay, Dreamer: The Legacy of the Cheatham Street Warehouse. Artifacts include two cowboy hats belonging to Kent Finlay.
