Scope and Contents

This session is designed to provide attendees with a checklist of the basic legal issues governing their development, production, distribution and marketing phases of producing and releasing a film. It will provide short overviews on a variety of subjects including Preparing and Negotiating Literary Option Purchase Agreements, Actor, Crew and other Production Agreements, Working arrangements with Labs, Film Festivals, Clearing Union/Guild (SAG and WGA Experimental/Low Budget Films, etc.) and Music Rights (Synchronization and Public Performance) and the Negotiation of Distribution Deals in the U.S. and Internationally.
