These files are arranged as they were donated by William Pool and include research for a number of his writings. The Research Notes folders house research material, manuscripts of articles, and publishable documents. The range of research subjects includes India, Bosque County, Texas History, European History, and Latin American History. The majority of materials are various manuscripts and fragments of manuscripts edited, written, or acquired by Pool. Although many material in this series are undated, included dates range from 1845 to 1967.
