Textual materials related to the journalism program from the 1960s, including a typescript of The Drama of the Alamo by Ramsey Yelvington, a journalism bibliography complied by Jeff H. Daley 1961, six published booklets/pamplets related to press and journalism, and 2.5" of coursework, notes, and assignments by Donald K. Minear (Class of 1968).

A noteable item is a small SWTTC High School pin, owned by the donor's mother Naomi Crunk Minear, dated 1927.

Donald K. Minear is an August 1968 Journalism Department graduate who was on both the Star [newspaper] staff and involved in theatre while attending the university as a student.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Donated to the University Archvies by Pat Murdock 2010-05-17. The material was given to Pat Murdock for the LBJ Museum in San Marcos. The museum retained two copies of the Star from October 1960 and forwarded the rest to the University Archives.
