Biographical note
Gerald Hill earned his bachelor of education degree in 1969 from SWT. He also served as executive assistant to Governor Mike White and was a member of the Texas House of Representatives from 1976 to 1984. In 1988 Hill was vice chancellor for government relations for the University of Texas System. Later he became Vice President of University Advancement at Texas State University. Active in community service, Hill served as trustee of St. Stephens Episcopal School and taught American government at Concordia Lutheran College.
