These materials are organized into three series: "AETA/ATA", "American College Theatre Festival", "University and College Theatre Association". It contains correspondence, meeting minutes, publications, newsletters, curriculum vitaes, reports, and operating documents relating to the American Theatre Association and its members, specifically James Barton, a former professor at Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) and regional representative to the ATA.
