Selection and installation as president, 1988-1989

This series consists of planning materials, memoranda, schedules, press releases, resumes, media information packets, correspondence, and news clippings relating to the university’s search for and selection of a new president, Dr. Jerome Supple. Materials relate to events that took place during this search period, including the 1988 Board of Regents meeting and candidate interviews, the announcement of President Supple’s selection, guidelines for presenting the new president and transition of power, and the new president’s media interviews. Catherine Evans Supple’s resume is also included. Most of the material comes from the University News and Information Service and the Office of Media Relations and Publications.
