Texas Cities and the Great Depression, 1973

This collection contains papers regarding a chapter written by Merry K. FitzPatrick for the book "Texas Cities and the Great Depression". It also includes FitzPatrick's work with the Texas County Records Inventory Project. The Texas County Records Inventory Project began in 1973 and was based on a Work Projects Administration (WPA) project. The goal was to inventory the records of all 254 counties in the state. Due to funding cuts, the project ended in 1981 with only 81 counties inventoried. Merry FitzPatrick worked with Charles Edward Clayton on the Hays County inventory. Arranged chronologically.
