Historical Note

Recorded program introducing Lyndon Johnson at Homecoming 1955. Bernice Soyars, daughter of president C.E. Evans, presents a picture of LBJ to the college. Dr. Flowers introduces specials guests in the audience and then introduces Senator Johnson, who reminisces about his time on the Hill in San Marcos. He then talks about foreign policy in relation to the growing troubles in the world and how knowledge -- education -- is required to find solutions.
