On the occasion of his inauguration as president of Southwest Texas State College, McCrocklin discusses the goals of Southwest Texas State College, and Johnson discusses the goals of the Great Society and the War on Poverty. Original recorded at ceremony, November 30, 1964. Tape copied April, 1982, by SWTSU Audio-Visual Center from an original recorded by the SWTSU News Service. The Texas Archive of the Moving Image has video of the McCrocklin inauguration available online.
