The collection includes research materials, drafts, correspondence, clippings, and book review files reflecting his decades of work as a columnist, author, and longtime reviewer for the Austin American-Statesman, along with extensive research related to his publications on the Texas Rangers

Archival materials following the life of Western writer, J. Evetts Haley, from 1926-2017. The collection contains some of his earliest works, manuscripts, magazine articles, news clippings, obituaries, and books written by his peers about Haley’s legacy. This collection was put together by his close friend, freelance writer, Mike Cox thus most of the books in the collection are signed.
