Biography

Bertie Matilda Reese was born in Tyler County, Texas, on February 12, 1903. She attended the Southwest Texas State Normal College summer program in 1922. She married Luther Richey; their daughter Marjorie was born in 1924. Marjorie Richey Poteet died on June 25, 2010 in Fort Bend County, Texas.
