Wittliff, William D. (1940-2019)

Jody Fischer’s collection of photographs, audio cassette tapes and VHS tapes relating to Willie Nelson.  The materials are arranged into the following six series: Personal Papers, Ephemera, Photographs, Audio Cassette Tapes, VHS Tapes, and T-Shirts and Hats.

Materials relating to the production of The Red Headed Stranger. Connie Todd was casting director and director's assistant. Wittliff was the screenwriter, director, and co-exuctive producer.

The Bill Wittliff papers document the book publishing, photography, and screenwriting and filmmaking aspects of Mr. Wittliff’s various professional and personal pursuits, ranging in date from 1968-1995, and including the following formats: correspondence, typescript drafts, bibliographies, woodcut blocks, illustrations, photographs, screenplay drafts, film storyboards and other production materials.
